Audio keeps skipping and there are some video glitches to the VCD. I'm using Pentium4 1.8ghz with 256 SDRAM. Give up?

rdj95,
we're going to need far more detail if we're going to be able to be helpful.
1. What is your source? DVD rip, avi file (if so, which codecs? - use gSpot) etc..
2. What is the quality of your source like? (especially the audio)
3. What settings are you using in DVDx? (and which version are you using?)
4. Are you producing a standards-compliant PAL/NTSC VCD? or a xVCD/SVCD/xSVCD etc.. (related to DVDx settings)
5. How are you authoring/burning your (S)VCD?
6. How does the (S)VCD play on your PC as opposed to your standalone?
That should give us some more to go on...
cheers,
mcdruid.
