Some Sony VAIO computers have the possibility to be used as a PVR (Personal Video Recorder). This is enabled by a software package called GigaPocket.

The documentation on the GigaPocket package says:
'Video capsules that are recorded using High Quality (HQ) or Standard Play (SP) mode can be converted and exported as MPEG1 or MPEG2 files.'

Does anyone know if one of these modes exported to MPEG1 is actually Sony MPEG EX? (used in older Sony digital photo- and videocamera's)
It should then be possible to store the exported file on Memory Stick and view on the LCD of for instance a Sony digital photocamera with MPEG EX feature.

Can anyone please try or provide me with 2 very small exported files (originated from both modes) as MPEG1 file?

Thanks in advance for a reply!

This is in addition to my earlier post.

Also in the documentation on GigaPocket:
'Video capsules that are recorded using Long Play (LP) mode
can be converted and exported as MPEG1 files'
