Is there any way to make them so that only the original poster can add to that thread. That way they can be kept nice and neat, so that people won't have to sift through 40 posts to find the answer to their problem. Locking the thread will work, but doesn't allow for the creator to update the guide. I'm asking because I will have new info soon for my printer guide, but don't want it too fill up with comments. Comments can be posted in the forum. If the guide gets to be too long, then people won't read them. Then they ask questions that should not be asked. And people start making fun of them because they didn't read the guide.........![]()
Mostly just curious. And thanks for everything!

Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

I could fix so the topic creator can update the topic even if a mod/admin lock the topic. (only in the user guides forum)

I am not trying to stop you from making changes to your guide TVI. Its a good idea.
However, Baldrick, if you allow topic creaters to modify and add to their posts after its locked, you need to put in some way to stop non-guide posts from being modified in this way. Just think of the nasty things that can be written by people that are mad their thread was closed because of warez or other forum breaches. It would be a moderator's nightmare.
EDIT: oops, you had only in the guides forum"A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."

It works!
Thanks! ANd the post just after is non edit so even if someone sneaks a comment in, they can't say all sorts of bad things in an edit. Perfect! Thanks again.
