  2. Unless you have a reason you want it in the computer, you could just use your line in on the sound card.

Take about any radio or stereo that has a headphones jack and connect a cable into that and into your sound card. That's what I did to record some of my cassette tapes to cd.

If you have a line out jack thats better, should give a constant volume level. If you use the head phone jack then the volume control on the radio will also adjust your recording volume, so you might want to mark it when you find the correct level you want. My radio/player had a slider so I just took a knife and put a scratch where I wanted to set it. Then before recording I just make sure the slide is next to the scratch
No need to buy extra stuff other than a cable with the correct plugs, or a set of adapters if you need a size like those old fashion large plugs!

    Search Comp PM
    Have a look at

    http://www.averm.co.uk/products/USB%20Radio.html

which looks to be just what you are after. Strangely enough though, there's no mention of it on Avermedias US website but there is on the UK one. In the UK it costs under £30 ($48) from http://online.stak.com/cgi-bin/stak/ (search for item 41960704).

Should do the job you want perfectly.
