i have an avi movie, which was encoded with "MPEG Layer-3" codec, and i tried to convert the file to MPEG-1 so i can burn it on a VCD, but it doesn't go very well. the movie has no visible errors on it, and when i'm trying to load the file into 'virtualdub', i'm getting an error massage: 'couldn't locate decompressor for format 'DX50' (unknown)'.
i also tried TMPGenc and it reads the file, but with a lot of mess in colors and the picture is all distorted.
i'v downloaded divx codecs (3.11, 4, 5.01). so i'm not sure what's the problem anymore.
thanks in advance guys
