  1. I have a mpeg 1 (not mepg2) file that has 2 audio streams (english + Japanese). What program can I use to separate the 2 audio streams? I can de-multiplex the audio from the video but I still end up with 2 audio streams.

    Thanks[/i]

    Hi,

I'm pretty new to all of this, which means that I've spent ages trawling through forums and guides etc.

I've seen quite a few mentions to VirtualDub as a good piece of software (freeware) that may be able to help.

There are also a fair few guides from the links on the left.

    Hope that helps...
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Try TMPEG.

  4. MPEG2 video supports multiple audio streams. MPEG1 videos do not. I suspect that what you have is one audio stream with english on channel and japanese on the other. So you'll want to spilt the left and right channel to sperate audio files.

You can do this with several wav/audio editing programs. I use/like CoolEdit.
