Burning error - stops same % w/ same img evendifferent prg

i had this prob with images and/or data files on hd, when i burn no matter the prg i use (nero recordnowmax alcohol) i got a burning error at same place / percentage [different from image to image/files of course].sometimes if i move the files to other hd works fine, other times not, just keep getting that error, the burning/simulation process simply stops and there's nothing i can do.

i have a sony dru510 with latest bios and i'm trying on quixo 2x.

any ideas on what could it be?

Does the error occur during read? I have the DRU500A and keep getting to 99% and then ... nothing. I'm starting to worry. I've seen several posts concerning SONY. I am using Instant Copy. I also updated the Sony, and the Instant Copy. I'll be watching this post and if I figure it out I'll let you know.

Have you found the solution to your problem yet?
I have exactly the same problem last night after successfully burning 2 DVD, and the next 3 DVD failed on me even on simulation.

get better media...make sure your image file isn't corrupt

The media is not even written yet, since it fails also in simulation only,
so how does the media relate to this problem?
the Image seems to be OK, I can play through DVD Player and also
if I burn the image to Nero Image Recorder, it will complete successfully.
It must be something to do with the SONY 510 UL.
Any other suggestion? Thanks very much!

sounds to me like you solved your problem then...

maybe try a different burner
