  1. Help!, I'm a newbie- I've created a couple of VCD's, and the menu system (PBC/playback control?) on two different manufacturer's newer model standalone DVD players will not navigate the VCD menus on either disc. The VCD content can be accessed in a difficult, manual manner, but this won't fly for sending slideshows to grandma & grandpa! I'm using the Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 that came with my new TDK indiDVD, & I've downloaded any available updates. Otherwise, menus are fully PBC compatible when done as a DVD, and of course the VCD menus work on Roxio's playback software. Any suggestions?

Author with VCDEasy. Of course, you have to create the menu images yourself, but I've never had VCDEasy fail me.

i think i remember seeing an earlier post saying that menus and chapters aren't supported in compliant vcd's. i've been making svcd's, using nero vision express 2.0 with great results. have not played with the vcd part yet though.
I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.

Of course you can create menus for a VCD. You can't create a "point and click" menu like a DVD has, but if you can live with using the num pad on the remote, the sky is the limit.
