no sound after converting avi to mpeg 1 or 2 ?

I've obtained an avi which has sound format 2 channel A3 DVM, when I put it thro TMPEG or NEODVD it converts the picture fine but there is no sound, if I play the AVI thro media player it plays fine with sound, am I missing something, I've done other AVI's no problem but I don't recall what sound format they were. Any ideas anyone please.

using TMPGENC, did you also add the avi to the audio track and upsample the sound to VCD or whatever.

Check out dvd2svcd from my signature. That should do everything you need automatically.

Thanks for the reply , yes I did add the audio avi file into the audio part, what do u mean by upsampling the audio ??? because I don't do that ??

As you have ac3 audio you need to convert so that tmpgenc can use it. Do a forum search on CONVERT AC3 and you will get some old posts that will help you.
