I Burned a Dual Layer with, how is this?

I know what xdreamer is talking about. The movie and all features should have fit quite comfortably on one dvd5, but it is split onto two layers...My question is this: Who does disney think they are fooling by doing this?

Why waste the extra cost of putting the movie onto two layers? Unless there are hidden features? na, that still doesn't compute...

But that's the whole point. With a commercially pressed disk it is almost certainly cheaper for them to put it on a dual layer disk because they have millions of the things. The cost of getting single layer disks in stock, changing those that are in the pressing machines, remembering to change back to dual layer when they want to press something else. Anyone on here old enough to remember when floppies went from 720 Kb to 1.4 Mb? Suddenly driver disks came out on 1.4 Mb disks that were less than half full. It's just the same, it's cheaper to use the same medium whatever the size of the file than it is to keep changing it.
