  2. So, some one explain this to me again. Why am I spending $150 on a tool when I can get the same functionality in a other products that are free or substantially cheaper?

I know that the post was meant to inform others that the product is out.

  3. DvdXCopy Platinum is supposed to be an all-in-one back-up solution. It will be a very nice product once all the bugs get worked out. The best point it will have going for it is the implemention of .tdf files. Every know and then, most peeps have come upon a dvd that for some reason or another is a pain in the ass to back-up. Then they have to either figure it out themselves, or come here and ask for help. With .tdf files, as soon as someones figures out how to back it up properly, they can upload the .tdf file so everyone can use it. Pretty nice idea if you ask me. I haven't jump on the software yet since it is still buggy, but I use v1.52 since I never compress my back-ups (I'm all about PQ). I for one am looking forward to it.

  4. I don't know the total of what I've spent on the versions of Xcopy but it's too much for sure. I haven't used the platinum yet but getting rid of that Looooooong "back up" screen would be nice. I've been rather leery about what else Xcopy puts on the backup such as the previously mentioned "personal information".

I used to think that DVDXCopy was OK, but now I see clearly. The company is run by ass eaters!

The whole ID tagging of the copied DVD is way over the edge. I'm not really into big brother.

The dvdxcopy start screen is a joke, even if it is easy to remove with ifoedit.

Let's not forget that these were the same guys who were packaging freeware and selling as DVDCopyPlus just a short while ago.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

  6. I bought this when it was first released (I know, never buy the first release of any software - but it sounded too good to be...). 321 released 2 updates in the first week, and several more since. It does NOT do what they claim. Tech support even admitted that not all of the functionality was available, but "would be soon". Don't waste your time or money. I asked for refund - had to send back the disc (even though I had downloaded the initial release on line) and 3 subsequent letters before I got it.
