  1. I think i have found the problem i was having with my audio going out of synch.

I am loading a 5hr 5min mpg file into dvd-lab and it only shows up as 4:46.50.

I have tried MovieFactory 2 its one file limit is 3:18.50. It works fine with two files that aver 2:35 each, but I can not add chapter points manualy past 3:18.50 with one file.

DVD-Lab will allow me to add all the chapter points i need, but when i compile the audio goes out of synch. The only place i see the time limit is on the movie tab where it shows the movie lenght. Actual is 5:05 but it displays 4:46.50. If I add two 2:35 files the time shows up correctly but the audio still goes out of synch.

Do you think this is the issue with my audio going out of synch? If so, is there any author software that will handle the long runtime?

    Exerpt from DVD-Lab 1.3 beta 1 info:

    - System MPEG quick re-muxing (Import without demultiplexing) can be now switched in Properties-Options to quietly perform normal Demultiplexing prior the compile. The current way is to do the re-muxing on-the-fly (parallel to compile) which in a case when mpeg has different mux ration may cause audio loss (the compile has not getting audio data fast enough). As an option you can now switch this to perform it in a "serial" mode, that means demux the files quietly first then use them as elementary in further compile.

Could this possibly be the problem???

  4. Not sure...

I have been doing some troubleshooting and found that if i take a file i captured in full d1 spec vbr 6000 8000max everything works great.

I found one setting i may have had wrong in my capture program. The output stream was set to "program" while the profile for full d1 has the output stream set to "DVD". Not sure but i will have to capture another blockfeed to find out... My next scheduled recording time is at 1:25 in the morning for 1:35 min. Will find out tomorrow if that was the problem...
