I read on the FAQs that in order to play a vcd on a computer, you gotta go into the MPEGAV and open the file. then tell it to open with windows media player. Is there an easier way to do this and maybe create an autostart feature which will automatically open that file in media player?

Get a DVD player like WinDVD. I think it plays VCDs
maybe Zoom Player ? -
yea i thought of that, but the thing is....
this is basically a demo reel for a girl who is applying to colleges. I made a video of her playing soccer and she is going to send it to the schools she is applying to. I want the coach to be able to just put the vcd in a dvd player or just put it in their computer and have it start playing. If they dont have windvd or a dvd program, then they would have to use windows media player. Thats what i want the autostart for. -

wow thank you, very helpful. Will this still allow it to play normally in a dvd player?
