  1. I followed one of the guides and removed the bad frames (deleted the bad frames by marking start and end frames) from my avi file, but now the audio is out of sync with the video. I tried extracting audio as a wav file but Vdub gives some compression error.

I tried converting it to .mpg file using Tmpegenc thinking that it may fix the problem, but it did'nt.

Any ideas how to go about this? I have many other files that have bad frames too and I am afraid using the same method as it may ruin the audio sync on them too.

Since you got a compression error with Virtual Dub (I wish you would be more specific), try using Virtual Dub mod to extract your audio.

You could do full process on wav file then direct stream on video so you get Xvid/Divx which has wav audio.
Then use virtual dub mp3 freeze to remove bad frames.

Long winded I know but seems to work for me

  5. I bet divfix has caused your problem> doesnt handle vbr mp3 well (at all?)
Corned beef is now made to a higher standard than at any time in history.
The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

I did use Vdub mp3 freeze to identify bad frames and used the log file to open the video file in Vdub and deleted the bad frames.

    I followed this guidehttps://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/142555.php

But the problems came up only after deleting bad frames, the original file with the bad frames has no issues with Audio syncing.

I will go back and record the error message that I get with Vdub when i try to extract audio to Wav and post it for all of you to see. This happens with the original file and the edited .avi file, which is really strange.
