  1. I have a MVCD I'm trying to play on my computer but my DVD software and Windows Media Player can't play it. Is there a software specifically made for playing MVCD? Then again it could be my MVCD is corrupted.

  2. I have no idea what a MVCD is, but I assume it's a xVCD. If so WMP should be able to play it. Depending on what verison of windows you have thou you might not be able to open the dat file in WMP. So try this

    1. Run windows explorer
    2. Go to the MPEGAV folder of your VCD
    3. Right click on the avseq001.dat file and choose open with WMP

This is necessary to play VCDs in winXP btw (another M$ 'feature').

I found this on a search. This is translation from a european website:

MVCD is a Template for TMPGEnc!!! This Templates was tested on different Standalone Playern (normal DVD Player) and ran perfectly! With MVCD it is possible up to 130min. for highly soluble film in MPEG1 to burn on CD.
