I've always liked using DVDlab for it's menu creating. If you don't care too much about that, then we all know of the Ulead vcd-dvd guide.
I have a Pioneer 434 that is one of those requiring the pan & scan fix. I have not purchased SVCD2DVDMPG because you can't author in DVDlab properly. So I am searching for alterior methods using Restream - DVDlab - and IFO-edit. Any help would be appreciated.
Anyway, I know this works for my Pioneer, but it may not for everyone:
Add vcd to dvdlab. (will show green, but only because dvdlab can't read it. your player will.)
Set up your menus.
Author at full D1
IFO-edit:
open both IFO's
leave the menu header alone, change movie header to 352X240 for all IFO's
(check off the letterbox and auto pan&scan too I believe)
save
burn.
Play with that a bit on some dvdrw
I'm no pro, this is just what I came up with. If anythings incorrect on here, please feel free to tell me off in a civil manner.
