I want to copy a track from a cd uncompressed to my hard drive. I tried copy and paste. But, it won't play on anything when I try to open from my hard drive. Please help.

You need a CD ripping utility. There are far too many out there to name, so just go to a freeware site and download some.

That will let you extract it to uncompressed wav like an AVI file uses.
