    I've only been able to get TMPGEnc12a to ever work on my computer....all other TMGEnc12b-i have never worked as well as the new TMPGEnc2. Has anyone else had this problem?....is there a way to resolve it? I have a pentium II 300 MHz, 196 MB RAM, 1.5 Gig free on hard drive.

    The error say: File "filename.avi" can not open, or unsupported.

    Try changing the priority for DirectShow filters in VFAPI.
    It's in Envirnoment -> VFAPI. Change the DirectShow to a higher priority.
