Okay, so when exporting a file to .avi (For conversion to MPEG2 for DVD Authoring), what settings do you guys who use Premiere have? Because I get an absolutely massive file when I try to do this. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

File size is dependent upon the length of the movie, codecs used, etc. But generally speaking, your Premiere-generated avi is going to be huge for most projects.
When you convert it to mpg later for burning, the file size decreases dramatically.
If you want to skip all the avi frustration and reduce quality loss (not to mention save a ton of time), I suggest frameserving from Premiere to your favorite encoder (i.e. Mainconcept, TMPGenc, CCE, etc).
Check out some of the guides on the site to see how it's done. www.videotools.net provides a great frameserver for Premiere. I think it's only about $30 but well worth it. -
Thanks for the help! I'll definitely search around in the guides section of the site again. If you don't mind me asking, what's frameserving?
