Is there an utility that can actually convert PPS/PPT (Powerpoint file) to AVI or any other video format? I wish to put my Powerpoint project on VCD, but can't do it if I cannot convert the PPT/PPS file to AVI.

Someone suggested screen Capturing to me. It is fine, but somehow cannot produce a perfect video.

Hope someone can help me out here.

wow! interesting question! a screen capture program would work but only if the slides were static. what about presentations that were dynamic, with bullets "sliding" in from all sides?

Please try our new screen camcorder and video production tool "Camtasia".
It can record anything on the desktop and produce standard AVI files. A
fully functional 30 day eval of Camtasia is available at
    http://www.camtasia.com

Camtasia also produces RealVideo and ASF streaming files. Our companion
tool "DubIt", free with Camtasia, lets you narrate your AVI files and drop
in sound effects from WAV files. For simple screen video capture tasks,
also checkout our screen capture tool "SnagIt".

Several of our customers have been using our screen video capture tools to
record PPT presentations as AVI files. Since we are grabbing the screen
and compressing in real-time, you need a fast system to get decent AVI
    frame rates.
