Ok so i can't figure this out and please don't tell me to look on this site. My question is how can i get my digital video off my camcorder and onto a dvd, i've tried everything so if you know how or did it before can you tell me the steps you went through.

Well to start with you are asking an awful lot, when #1 you have provided little if any information concerning the hardware or software you have. And #2, I just clicked on the "How to capture" link to the left of this web page and found your answer already in a nice developed guide. You won't find someone to hold your hand and talk you through step by step. Thats not what this site is about. You say you've tried everything. Please describe everything in detail so we know what you have and have not done. Like start with this, Do you have a USB cord you are using to plug into your computer from your camera or are you using a firewire cord from the camera to a firewire port or capture card in your computer? What soft ware do you have for capture/authoring? What Brand type (+R/-R) of DVD Writer do you have? What burning software do you have and use? Okay understand. No guessing game here, there are just two many variables to deal with in this hobby. Help us to help you, okay?
