good basic guide. you might add a step for the menu background audio. it's actually a good tool for creating menus that are pretty nice. thanks for the time and effort you put in and for sharing it. by the way, have you tried this with Roxio videopack yet?
I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute. -
ah yes...
nero vision express 2....i think it really is a great way to make excelent menus......buuuuut:
- knowing that 800 mb of (s)vcd fit on a 700 mb cd , why can't I make a svcd using nero vision?? it always its too big...even though the file is around 780 mb....
am I missing something ???
i would really like to use this program to make menus...i think it's great!

I haven't tried it to make SVCD. Neither Roxio.
sorry i will investigate.
honorarybrutha, I will add the steps for audio background, and a guide for Vcd slide show with audio background, transition effects, and animated menu
_Coaster_, i don't know exactly whats the problem because i don't make SVCD often, (cause my standalone dvd doesn't play them). But i think its because of the size of the menus. Remember that svcd uses mpg-2 format. you can use diferent video bitrates. but when you make a vcd or svcd menu, it is, in fact, just a video (is not like a dvd interactive menu). ok? the menu generated is a video file, that loops for a determinated time. so, because its a video, a mpg-2 video, ( I guess nero choose a high bitrate), depending on the duration of the menu you chose, it may be too big. And if you have a 780Mb movie, and you make a menu that plays around 1:30 minutes (not counting the loop), then it wont fit in the disc.
ok? just check the duration you set for your menus.
I hope this advise work for you.

Is it okey to add your guides to our guides list?
Your guides will be listed on the front page for a while and then you may get too much traffic(geocities has a daily bandwidth limit). I could add them without listing them on the front page also, you have to search or list them in the guides list then. -
I put the guide in Fortunecity, because geocities Data transfer limit is very low. you can put this in the guide list. =D even you can include them in you own server if you want, just dont touch the credits :P
(Fortunecity guide deleted)
---------- fortunecity not working CHECK THIS:
