    Can I use this card for encoding "already-on-HD" AVI files or is it only possible when capturing?

    Does anyone know what this card costs in Sweden?

    it just encodes when you're capturing the video stream from the tv tuner. for avi files on your HD, you can just use free software to reencode it to mpeg (or whatever your little heart desires)
