  1. When i convert MPG to AVI using TMPEGenc, there is no sound , is there a special way or some sort of sound coding i use to make this work. I am using TMPEGenc because i wanna be able to batch up some encodings. I heard something like i have to use a outside sound encoder that is a plugin for TMPEGenc. Is this true? If so what is it and where can i get it ? Can someone help me please ?
    Thanks

If you convert a mpg to avi with TMPG, you just have to select file> output to file> avi file. Check both video and audio, chose the codecs and save or add the project to the batch encode list. There is nothing special.
You can use external mp2 and mp3 Audio encoders. Option> enviromental setting> external tool. You could encode to .mp3 seperately. But there is no need to do so, because you'll select the audio codec at the pop-up window, when you save the .avi.
Generally I do not recommend TMPG for mpg to avi conversions, there are more flexible tools.

Try to save a PCM uncompressed .wav. Then select the mpg as video source and the wav as audio source and add it to the batch encode list.
Well, if the batch encoding is the main issue, I don't have another suggestion at the moment. For single conversions VirtualDub might be the better choice.
