I know that Panasonic DVD Recorders should have TBC (Time Base Correction) that should help when recording from old VHS tape but what about others. Which does have TBC and which one does not ? I will add into this list as you post here...
Panasonic All Models : TBC YES
Pioneer All Models : TBC YES
Sony RDR-GX7 : TBC YES
Philips : TBC ???
Toshiba : TBC ???
Sharp : TBC ???

All I know is the E50 has a TBC and IMO it really makes a recording from a VHS tape look better than the original.

Philips must have invented their virtual time base corrector while being sucked into the vortex of virtual reality.
I do know that all Pioneer models have a real TBC as well as the Sony RDR-GX7. Both Sharp and Toshiba don't seem to mention them, but that doesn't mean they don't have any.
Either way, the TBC's built-in to these machines can in no way be compared to the pro stand-alone TBC's which cost hundreds of $$$.
