  1. I've been using the big three for about a week and have had all types of issues throughout....my latest is an error i'm getting with scenarist which is preventing the compile.

The error is referring to the main movie which is VTS 5, PGC1,. The main movie only has one PGC.

The error from scenarist is: Sub Picture Stream 11 doesn't have sub picture data. There are three more "errors" of the same...just different streams. For example..Sub Picutre stream "12" doesn't have sub picture data....and the same for sub picture stream 13 and 14.

I've searched the forum and there are no posts similar to this one.

Anybody have any idea how I might be able to fix this?

    TIA

Do the streams causing the errors have subpictures? I've never had this error, probably because I've never had any empty subpicture streams.

How did you end up with this situation? Did you manually add subpicture streams to the project? Were they ripped from a DVD?

Three ways you can get round it:

First is to delete the offending subpicture streams (the empty ones). Of course you should edit the subpicture selection menu to disable the selections of these subpicture streams.

The second way is to find out what happened to the subpictures that should be there - that is if you need them.

The third way is to manually add at least one subpicture to the offending streams (Scenarist has a subpicture editor). I guess even one subpicture should be enough to "fool" the error checker in Scenarist.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
