I've never had problems burning with nero 5.5.10.35. I got nero 6 to try it out and couldn't burn a dvd that was ripped and shrunk with dvd2one. I got an error message not compatable files. I looked on nero website and found this

    9. I want to burn a DVD-Video disc but I always get an error message saying compliance test failed' when I drop my files into the DVD-Video compilation. Even when I have VOB, IFO and BUP files.

Sometimes DVD Authoring programs create non-complaint video projects.
(Important Note: Nero cant burn illegally ripped DVDs. Usually they losing compliance through ripping.)

Looks like nero won't burn dvd's that were ripped. So I'm sticking with the old nero. I also use gearpro 6.03 rc11.
It's too bad looked like the extras that came with nero were pretty good.

    Anybody else have this problem?

    * This forum needs a board called "Burning" to post just about burning, cause didn't know where to put this topic.

I had this on using Nero 6 , I can`t vouch for ripped DVDs as I only make my own video compilations , but anyway , what I was trying to do and didn`t notice was I was trying to add the files to the base directory instead of opening the VIDEO_TS folder and adding them to there - which gave me the same error as you had .
But I`ve gone back to my previous program as I don`t aesthetically like Nero6 and the millions of things to relearn to get it to do what I want .

I discovered I did the same thing.
I don't know if like 6 yet either for burning dvd's since you can't control the settings. (or can you somehow?)
With the old nero I use dvd-rom iso/udf and select udf 1.2 instead of 1.5 for more compatablility. I can't find how to do this with 6.0.
For now I'm sticking with the old nero and gearpro 6.03
I do like the make audio cd feature where you can normalize your music so you don't have to mess with the vol control if you have mp3s with some louder then others.

  5. Well Scott, I have been having no problems burning DVD2ONE or DVDshrink DVDs on Nero 6 version 6.0.11 . I use "DVD video" and drag contents into VIDEO_TS folder and then burn away. Plays fine in my players also. Just did it in fact to LOTR2, and was surprised at what a great job DVD2ONE did for such a big movie. Can I ask if you are shrinking "movie only" or complete discs?

Can't find anywhere where you can uncheck iso restrictions in 6.0
