While trying to back up a James bond movie in US with a US dvd using DVD SHRINK, I received the following message Copy protection error-the current dvd's region doesn not correspond to the region setting of the drive. I have a NEC dvd 1100 A. Does anyone have any advice. Thanks for the help

Exact same story only I was trying to back up the Disney movie A Bug's Life...
(Same Error - Same Drive - Same version of DVD Shrink)
I also tried to use DVD Decryptor to HD first and that failed also... I am wondering in it has to do with scratches on the disk...
Help appreciated -
I think I found a solution to this region incompatibility error. I am using Anydvd which you can get a free trial of at www.slyfox.com. When you insert the dvd into the computer's dvd drive bay it automatically disables the region code. I then back up my dvd's with CloneDVD which i think is available at www.elby.com. These two applications used in conjuction seem to have bypassed any region errors I was getting before.
Good luck
