  1. Well I am a branded NEW person to the forum. So far I have found a great deal of information to be helpful. I am having an issue where I have got two backed up movies on one disc but I am wanting to make a basic menu just to select one or the other. I have searched everywhere but I find either incomplete posts or posts that draw away from the main topic. What can I use to create a menu that is not to easy to make but will look good for what I want to do. Free software would be good. I would like to say thank you in advance to anyone that can help.

    Thanks

  2. Hi Solo5300

Assuming you are talking about 2 movies on a DVD-R(W), probably (S)VCD format cause you mention 2 (can never be 'completely' sure about information that isnt 'complete'....), you could try Ulead MovieFactory, the trial version is fully functional for 30 days (also no logo's displayed and stuff on the final dvd ) and it does give one the ability to build custom dvd menu's (with some limitations due to its templates though... ).

    b.t.w. look over here

  3. AFAIK, there is no completley free software that will do what you want. I think all the commercial DVD authoring programs will allow you to do this and many hav downloadable free trials. Already mentioned is Ulead MovieFactory, Ulead also do DVD Workshop which is more powerful and flexible (and more expensive). Other options include DVD-Lab (trial available), Sonic products (not sure about trial versions here) and many others. Take a look at the Authoring section of the site for more ideas.

  4. Oh yes silly me I was speaking of the DVD-R format and the movies being in the vob format. Will the programs be able to handle the VOB format or will I have to break my movies down? I am on dial-up so would kinda like to know which would yall would really recommend before starting an all day download if you know what I mean.
    Thanks
