  1. How can I take a video, and reverse it so it plays backwards?
    And what type of file does it have to be? (Avi/mpeg etc)

    most editors will have this as a basic effect.

    I know that Premiere can do it, and Vegas Video. While (lightly compressed) avi is generally better for editing, if your video editor will load the file, you should be able to reverse it.

    AviSynth. And you get to choose what type of file. (AVI, MPEG).

  5. Seems like people who are used to scripting, coding, command-line based OS Really love AVISynth, and those who only use GUI dont like it.

    I think its the best.
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author
