Hi to all,
I have recentley downloaded a 700mb Divx movie with the following encoding:
DivX-5.0
aspect: 448x336
bitrate 1062 kb/s
framerate: 25.000fps
audio: mp3 mpg-1 layer
bitrate; 99kb/s (49/ch x2 ch)VBR
The movie play's fine on windows media player, but when I tried to convert it to an mpeg dvd file with tmpgenc 2.5. the movie frames show they are moving but the actual movie gets stuck 30 seconds into the encoding the end resault was one frame thru the whole movie but sound was OK?
So I checked for bad frames using Vdub no bad frames found. furthermore vdub showes the same problem when previewing the movie:
it freezes on one frame but counter showes the frames moving as well as the sound continues to play normal.
PLEASE HELP
Thanks,

Even if VDub reports no errors, it's very likely there are. If you go to where the error occurs and step frame by frame, I'm sure VDub will report some trouble at some frame.
The author of VDub states that VDub will never save a AVI containing a bad frame, so you should try to save a 2nd copy of your AVI with Direct Stream, and use this for the rest of your work.

I have tried to skip the section on vdub but it just freezes the section i jump to.
