My friend is bidding for a DVD player on a German website as she is based in Hamburg. One of it's features is that it plays MVCD films. Has anyone heard of this format and if so can it be played in the UK? Again, does anyone know of any applications to play it on, as from what I gathered, it's a better quality format than SVCD films and can be fitted on a single disk. Any feedback will be appreciated

From what I gather it is simply a non standard VCD along the lines of KVCD, so basically an XVCD.

Could you tell me something about the quality and whether a 90 minute film for example can be contained on a CD.
