    when i finished encoding my vob files to avi i found i dont have sound i'm useing easydivx i have done it by the book at least 10 times and it comes out the same can some one tell me what i'm doing wrong and also can i use easydivx to convert to mpeg instead of avi ??

    It's almost impossible to tell where things go wrong when you're using this kind of "allinone" applications. Your loss if audio may happen almost anywhere in the rather complicated process that happens behind EasyDivX scenes.
    I suggest you read a few of the DVD to AVI guides found here under How To / Convert. Recommended tools are a ripper (Smart Ripper), DVD2AVI and VirtualDub (togehther with a DivX and a MP3 encoder in your case).
    For mpeg creation, replace VirtualDub with TMPGEnc - the rest remains the same. EasyDivX can't do mpg1/2 (VCD/SVCD).
