  1. i have a saony DCR-VX2000 NTSC, and i want to use it as a webcam is that possible? i'm trying to use it on msn messenger 6.0, but when i invite someone to see me there is no image the box is black. i'm using firewire in and dv out from te cam.i have also intalled some webcam programs but nothing. can someone please help me? do i need a special program or something?

  2. I think you can do it but not via firewire, you need to connect it via an analogue capture card.

  3. Im using my Sony dcr trv 33 as a webcam, but connected by USB. Same cable i use when i transfer photos.

  4. I use my Sharp450u over firewire as a webcam with Messenger6.0

    Works just fine, at least with Video Conference.

    how do you do it? you you have any software or you just plug in the cam?

  6. You need to have "WDM drivers" for your camera in order for it to work like webcam. I guess you can obtain those drivers on Sony website.
