  1. I have two files. One is 4.68 and the other if 4.62GB. I have been unsuccesful at authoring a dvd from either of the files. DVD-Lab does burn the dvd but the outcome is the menus dont work and the audio is out of synch.

Do you think i am too close to the max size or could it be something else i am missing?

    Thx,
    Rod

  2. Can't help too much with DVD-Lab but if you already have two 4+ GB files on your system then you are using an NTFS file system (or HFS+), you should be able to support a 8+ GB file. (Of course if you have enough drive space.)

  3. both of those are too large for DVD's, DVDR's hold a maximum of 4.35GB

4.65GB is too big for DVDR so exactly how did you burn??? Doesn't dvd-lab warn if it is too big???

Have you tried author the dvd to hd and played it with PowerDVD?

  7. It did not warn me about anything. It is a little hard to explane the results but i will give it a try.

When adding my menu, I could not preview past 3:18min so i added chapter points without previewing. I made the menu with 5 chaper points, compiled and burnt to dvd-r.

When i put it in my dvd player, the menu comes up but when you go over one of the selection points it highlights that one and the one next to it (they do not overlap). When you press play the audio is so far out of synch i cant tell you how far out it is...

I tried using the trim function in dvd-lab but it just seems to wack out. once i started it, i could not see any progress and the file size was over 20gb before it ended task to stop it. I tried the demo of tmpeng(?) but the result was a pink picture and out of synch audio.

The mpg file does play correctly.
