  1. I have some bin /cue files for SVCD and have tried several types of software but results are the same ..won't play..
I have used Nero, Alcohol120, blindwrite, CDRWin, VCDeasy
I don't know what is wrong as I have burned these same files before on a different machine w/CDRwin.

I now use an athlon 1800xp w/512 mb ddr ram w/ati all in
    wonder 32mb ddr
    and a sony dru500 f2.0 dvdrw/cdrw.
I have tried everything I can find short of re-encoding the files.

    any help would be great

    Thanks
    Okie

  2. Won't play HOW? Bad/jerky, no audio, no synch, player says "insert disk", what?

Have you tried playing the disk in the computer? This is important.

How were these files transfered from the working computer to this one?

Please supply some additional information, my crystal ball is in the shop this week.

  4. on ething to try, would be to extract the video from the bin/que using isobuster. Then, look at the properties of the video/audio to make sure that they are compliant.

Then, try to use nero or some other SVCd making software to burn. "A" possibility is the media and/or the burn speed. Some people say its an urban legend, but others say they have problems playing discs that are burned at a faster speed.

Have you tried converting the BIN Files to ISO Files (you can use ULTRA-ISO or MAGIC-ISO or WIN-ISO to convert BIN files to ISO) once converted then most cd/dvd burning apps should allow you to burn to cd/dvd for instance NERO or Copy to DVD/CD - Obviously this is just an 1 option of many others.

  6. If they won't play on the computer, then either the originals, the extraction method, or the burner is bad. If the originals still play, and the extraction method is same as used before - unless your software is screwed up, test on some other cd's or a dvd - Have you tried other media?
