  3. Benjamin0, i am also trying to put subtitles using adobe encore dvd.
    I am at your point; using "00:00:57:00 00:00:58:30 Dis moi quand", for example, but my problem is that i can´t put portuguese characters like ã , ç , á etc. My question are:

    Do you import like text script?

    Have tried this characters?

    and finally,

    if you tried, could haved resolved this problem.

    Thanks

  4. i have same problem as you, with all this type of characters, so I use Subtitle Workshop to search and replace all the characters.
    Maybe u can resolv it by using the other type of subtitles impotable in Adobe Encore because it's Images type ( but don't ask me how to do it i don't have any idea).

    I have an other problem, i can't import MPEG1 file in Adobe Encore.
    Did you succe to import some MPEG1 File, if yes how do you do that?

    Thanks for your answer

  5. I am not having problem importing mpeg files, i proccess like this:
    1. i put the avi file in tmpgenc to generate to mpeg and 2 i put the file in adobe encore dvd, and there is no problem with this import, the only problem is in the subtitles, because it doesn´t like that kind of characters.

    Benjamin i am going to continue to investigate and if i find a way to resolve i put in here, i hope you to!

    Hi all,
    I spent some time at Encore subs problem and finally, SW script looks like:

    [Information]
    Name=EncoreDVD
    Extension=*.txt
    Time structure=hh:mms:z
    Time=True
    FPS=25
    New line char=[Enter]

    [Format text]
    {RepeatSub}
    {SubCount} {swStart} {swEnd} {swText}
    {EndRepeat}

    but, you have to remeber few things: subs cannot overlap each other in time, you may correct this with SW before conversion, also, you need to convert output file to Unicode, simply open it in Notepad (XP and w2k systems), then save as.. and select Unicode from most-bottom drop down list. And of course you need to adjust FPS if you are doing NTSC DVD.

    Hope this helps,

    What format do you need for the subtitles to be, and what format are they in now?
    Hello.

  9. Forget about my problem from before... I figured that one out. Now, I have a new problem. As stated before, I get the

    "Timecode Overlap found in subtitle script line:
    6 00:00:57:00 00:00:58:30 Dis moi quand."

    Before I custom saved it I ran it through the check for errors with the default OCR. It didn't find a single overlap. I looked at the lines surrounding the errors and found no overlap! Why is Encore saying I have time overlapping if I don't?
