    These cards are as fast as ATA100 (100 MB/sec). Take a look at one of the first (and best) cards around using firewire 800:

    I'll agree with you.... for now. Soon there will be a better x86 chip to beat the now Intel Mac chip. I wonder why they went away from Motorola?

    Motorola hardly ever updated the G4s. They were lagging behind and I heard seriously demanding on Apple. So Apple chance to do better work with IBM and took it. Smart move I think.
