  1. Hello guys,

I just bought a Optorite DD0203, I need help to use it. I would like to know what program you guys use to burn DVD to DVD-/+R. And How to use HD-burn. I am using nero HD-burn, but it could not be read with the other cd/dvd drive. It only can read wiht Optorite. Please help. Thank you so much. When I am using the B'recorder software that it comes with the drive, I will get an error say " No transmission speed error occurs". Please help, thank you so much.

  2. I haven't used HD-Burn on my drive but I know it can only be read with a drive that supports HD-Burn.

There are many choices for DVD to DVD-/+R and they are not dependent on your drive. See the Tools section on the left.

  3. Not sure about hd-burn I have yet to use it. As far as what programs to use I recommend dvdshrink and copytodvd. I've used these without very many problems. I would also use -rw media. You can buy it very cheap in bulk. I bought the cheap Princo -rw's and it works fine with my Optorite dd0203. Just make sure you defrag your harddrive before you start burning. That's the only reason that I've had bad burns but hey it's an RW so I defragged my drive burn it over on the same dvd and guess what? It works fine in my standalone. You can also use dvdfab (I believe is what it's called) to split dvd's that are too large to for one disk. Well I hope this helps and remember there are tons of different ways to rip, compress & copy a dvd. You should just experiment and find out what programs work best for you.

  4. That's the nature of HD-Burn, only drives that support HD-Burn discs will play them. And the thing is most drives don't support HD-Burn, so they can't read the disks. This may change in the future, but for now, only a few drives will play the disks.
    Blah, blah, blah
