I'm very soon going to have access to a DVD burner. I will probably switch to DVD+R for my movies instead of SVCD.
I was wondering, what is the lowest acceptable average bitrate I should use for DVD? I have a movie that to fit on 1 disc will require an average of around 4.3mbps.... is this too low? I'll probably use 352x480 resolution.
Thanks

Keep in mind though the studio DVD has been mastered from a superior source with superior encoderss, so their 4 Mb/sec will be slightly better than your 4Mb/sec.
352x480 resolution = 1/2 D1 so yes go fo it !
