Ripping from multi

Hi all i have kids multi dvd (backup) and want to rip one of the films off to make a single dvd of it, i can easily fid the vob files that relate to the wanted film, but there are other files on the multi some of which i need and some i dont.
Is there any way i can find out what files go with the vob's i have copied onto my hdd. or am i barking up the wrong tree and going about it completely the wrong way.
