  1. Ok so i got this video on my digital camcorder and i put it on my computer with DVIO and the file size was 17 gigs and it is an hour an half long. So i used Ulead Video Studio 7 to convert it to an mpeg2 and then the file size was 3.7 gigs, i thought everything was great but the only thing wrong was that the file doesn't play in a media player but when you put it in an editor or a recorder it will be there so i don't know what was wrong with that. So i had the file shrunk to fit on a dvd and i used DVDIT to make a dvd. I first tried to burn it to a dvd and it said something like wrong disc, then i tried to make it on a dvd+rw and it didn't work. After that i burned it to my computer as a dvd folder and then i tried to use Pinnacle Insant Copy to burn it since i made the right thing from dvdit. I have not been able to come up with any ideas since this, i have a dvd+r/rw burner and i really need your help with this. my aim is vi0lentjuggal027

  4. TMPGEnc or CCE is still your best bet, however you need a DV codec installed in order for either of those encoders to read your DVIO output file. There are a few of the DV codecs available in the tools section of this site.

Hope that helps. I've never had luck with Ulead VS7.

  5. First of all, it is normal to have a big file after it has been placed on HD. I had same situation. I used both DVGate Motion by Sony as well as Adobe Premiere to import the video from DV Cam. They both produced 2GB for every 10min of movie. You figure out rest of it.

I have used Simple DVD Maker to burn dvd-r/rw, file size was 1/4 of actual size. I just dragged and dropped avi files into SimpleDVDMaker window and clicked the "make dvd" button. I was tring to get more information about your computer, buy i did not get much info there. If you are using Sony Vaio, it is very easy to do it.
Don't waste your media. Burn it on re-writable media first.
