NTSC DVD authoring question for y'all

I'm trying to create a DVD of all my funny video clips... over 200 small clips in all. I'm using Adobe Encore DVD to build the DVD (and I must say, I really like it). However, I'm getting a couple errors when I go to "build" (create a disk image of) my DVD. Below are the errors:

NTSC DVD requires at least one AC3 or PCM audio track for every title set. Do you want to continue to build with all MPEG audio? (I usually click continue and bypass this error prompt but if anyone can tell me how to fix it, or if it has any bearing on compatibility for set-top players, that would be greatly appreciated.)

The second error I get, which is fatal and causes the building of the DVD to cancel, is:

Unexpected files were found in the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS directory (DVD Error -27303).

Now, I have done a little research and I think this may be due to the fact that I have more than 99 video clips. When I originally tried to create this DVD, Sonic DVDit would not let me add more than 99 clips. I thought this was a program restriction, but now I'm starting to think it may be a DVD specification restriction. To support my suspicions, when I remove most of my video clips, to bring the total to less than 99, the build works great and outputs a working disc image.

So, I guess my question is, can I put more than 99 video clips on a DVD? If not, is there a workaround (short of splicing them together as one large video, which won't really work for this job.) THANKS!

I remember reading something about the 99 limitation somewhere on this site, but cant for the life of me remember what the outcome was. I think it was an upgrade to movie factory 2 or something where it would do a lot more.

Do a search for 99 and see if it comes up. I'd do it for you, but the site is acting realllll slow today.

LOL... can't search for terms less than three characters long... And trust me, the search term "100" probably won't yield very high quality results.

I found something when I did a google search. 99 is the limit. I thought about it a little and a suggestion would be to try having two menus and then you should be able to have 99 in each.

if the app will support more than 99 chapters, you could join the clips together in groups of 2 or 3 clips, then drop in chapter points at the beginning of the different clips.

I'm not sure if the dvd spec supports more than 99 chapters, though...
