    Hello,

I jut made my first home video (not backup or anything liek that) on DVD and had one problem.

I used Pinnacle to edit the DV recording. Added transitions, music, credits, etc. Then I burned using Roxio DVD builder onto both a +R and -R.

My problem is, at the beginning of the disc, I have scrolling text and music. At the end of the disc, I have "credits". At both of these places, my DVD player starts to "choke" and stutter. Its almost like the processor "boggs down" or something.

The DVD (both + and - ) plays fine on my computer DVD player. And also it plays fine on a "no name" 12 volt player I bought for my truck. At first, I thought there must be something I did wrong with burning, but then it played fine in my other player.

Since then, I have brought the discs to Best Buy and Circuit City. I tried them out on the newest Sonys, JVC and Panasonic, and they all did the same thing. Some worse than others.

I brought the discs to a mobile audio store, and again, the disc played fine on an in-dash DVD player, that they thought was too old to even play recordables.

I finally found 1 home player (out of about 20 or so tested) that would play the discs without stutter. It was the Samsung V2000 VCR combo.

Has anyone ever seen this same problem. Is it possible that the siftware I used (Roxio) is not the best way to go. I realize it is not the best, but it seemed good enough.

    Thanks in advance,
    Stobe

  2. It could be that the other stand alojnes do not like the media you used.

Yes, its weird. I burned the same exact image to both a + and a - disc. Both discs being from different manufacturers. There is never a problem with the standalones reading the disc. And other than the 2 credits segments, the rest of the 30 minutes of video/audio are flawless.

This is what baffled me the most.

    Thanks,
    Stobe
