When I try to use Nero and am not logged on as Administrator I get the following message:
Under WinNt/2000 burn rights are required by Nero to access CD recorders and CD-Rom/DVD-rom drives. Please ask your system administrator for a permission to use Nero.
Could someone offer a suggestion?
Thanks

Yeah, re-install it.. when it is installing there is an option to set the permissions of who can use it to burn... I know because I just saw it the other day. Good luck.

I discovered the option of running the program as a different user by checking the box in the shortcut to Nero.
However,I downloaded 5.5.5.1. When I installed there was no option to designate users. I finally found a section in the help files that is under "Misc/Nero user group and recording priviledges under NT4/Win2k". That section refers to a security tab under the File/Preferences/Security tab. I have no such tab in version 5.5.5.1
Is the download version different from the CD version? -
Finally the answer from the Nero version history:
Nero 5.5 released!
Check out the new features introduced here!
Known issues:
Under Windows 2000, Administrator privileges are required to burn CD's
