  1. Ok, I am working on moving an anime DVD9 with 5 episodes to a DVD5 with 3 episodes at a 1:1 ratio and keeping the languages and subtitles but using a custom menu created in DVD-Lab (since I am losing the extras and changing the episode count). I am using a combination of guides to accomplish this and have hit one last snag.

    ---

I had many snags using ripped vobs in DVD-Lab, but I solved the problem with a hint read in a forum thread over at the DVD-Lab boards. I ripped each episode in DVD Decryptor as a single vob using IFO mode and setting the VOB cutting to none. Using those single vob files, I added each episode in DVD-Lab and compiled. Voila, everything worked, except audio.

    So, the question is this:

The audio is in the vob files, as opening the vob files from the compiled DVD in WinDVD causes audio to be heard. I assume its the 2 audio tracks that is causing the DVD compile from DVD-Lab to not have audio. Is this correct?

I tried to follow this guide for dealing with multiple audio streams in DVD-Lab. However, the crucial step is after the DVD compiles, it mentions editing the IFO using DVD-Lab as seen below:

However, after compiling (or before for that matter), I dont see this in the tool menu. Can anyone tell me why? Or can someone point to a guide that tells me how to do this edit process manually, say in IFO Editor? Or even better, can someone describe here how to do this step manually?

    Thanks,

  2. Ok, figured it out. I was using the demo v1.1 (the last official release) - if you upgrade to full and do the new beta upgrade to 1.3, the option to IFO Edit appears.

So, one last issue and my project as envisioned is complete.

How do I do the same thing to the subtitle stream?

A view of the IFO in IFO Edit showed me what changed in the IFO and it looks like I just need to add the following:

    SubPicture 1: English (2-bit rle)

    But how?

    Thanks,
