My stand alone DVD player is a Toshiba 4800. I have attempted to create slideshows on DVD for play on my TV. I have used the following programs to create these slideshows:
ULEAD PictureShow 2.0
MAGIX Pictures to CD/DVD
SONIC MyDVD
NERO NeroVision 2.0
PINNACLE Instant CD/DVD/Expresssion
I have audio problems with the ULEAD and MAGIX products, as the audio will not play on the slideshows when playing through the Toshiba, but will play when previewing on the PC. My remote for the Toshiba has an "Audio" button you can push to show the audio format of the current disc. The two programs mentioned above show the audio as "---1MPEG2ch.
The other three programs I listed above (SONIC,NERO,PIANNACLE) all play the audio with no problem on the Toshiba, but I note the audio format on those discs are listed as "---1PCM2ch".
I have tried to fiddel with the set up screen of the Toshiba with no luck to produce the sound. Can someone explain what is happening here? Is there a way I can somehow convert the MPEG audio burned on the discs to a PCM, since it appears the Toshiba has no problem playing these?
Or, does anyone else no of other programs that use the PCM format to burn DVD's?
Which format is more compatible for most DVD players, as I would like to create copies for friends?
Thanks for any replys.![]()
