  2. It is not possible. You can combine VCD and Data, and CD audio and Data, but not VCD and Cd audio. Oh, sure it would be real nice, but unless some programming wizards come up with a way, it's out of our hands.

    mijman is wrong, XanaXManX

The tools to create standard VCD's containing CD audio (CDDA) are VideoPack 4 (illegally distributed) and Philips Toolkit (freeware). Contact me for more information.

  5. As what AntnyMD stated.

VCD2.0 supports CD-DA audio tracks in the specs and you can definitely create them and still have your VCDs as compliant. However, only a couple of authoring programs support this functionality as AntnyMD described.

If you make such a VCD, it should play fine as a VCD on a stand-alone player and as an audio CD on a CD player.

Most audio CDs that have additional data material on the disc (e.g., quicktime clips) are created as "CD-Extra" discs. You cannot make VCDs in this fashion. You can author such discs with most common burning proggies (e.g., Nero or Easy CD Creator).
