Well I have burned over 70 DVD (TDK, Princo and Ritek)
I didn't burn anything the last 2 weeks, now I try to burn and get 3 coaster in a row. 2 TDK and 1 Princo is gone.
Nero burn all the disk no problem (don't forget, all my burned DVD was with Nero) but when it should burn the Leadout, after 1 minutes or so I get an error and the disk is unreadable.
I was using Nero 6, but I decided to go back at 5.5.10.28 since I have burner about 50 dvdr with no problem... but I have the same problem.
I join a printscreen of nero.. I really don't know what to do now. Media are expensive, and coaster isn't very fun. My drive is a LG 4020B that I have for about 4 months.
Thanks for help..

Nero for DVD Burning just sucks.
I use NeoDVD Standard which is excellent. i have never had problems in burning the movie all the way, and i have the same DVD Writer as you. but i am wanting to upgrade to 4X i hate waiting 20mins for it to burn
another program that should burn your movie well is CopyToDVD but NeoDVD does rip it.
NeoDVD is hard to get but, i got it from my cousin he had in bundled with his burner.
CopyToDVD can easily be downloaded. -
as you can see your dumb it says invalid block address its something got to do with the movie you have ripped/transcoded/encoded and when i say nero is shit then its shit ok. so just use something else and watch how it will work just use CopyToDVD its small so just download it now and try it stop having a hissy fit.

First, you might want to invest in some DVDRW and see if the error still persists. It just might be that the DVD you have are bad, as odd as that might be.
At least with the RW, you won't have another coaster and you'll be able to tell if it is the files themselves causing problems, the burner or Nero. Just start taking things out of the equation one by one until you come across the source of the problem. -
Try uninstalling Nero again and then go to the registry and search for Nero and ahead and remove any entrys that have to do with Nero Burning Rom. After that reboot the computer and reinstall the ver 5.5.10.28
All I use is Nero and have had no problems with it yet. I use ver 5.5.10.20 for my DVDs and CDs. -
I'd like to stick up for Nero too - it's used where I work, I use it at home, my friends use it (well, most of them), no problems but those we've created with naff authoring or crappy media. Oh yes, and one faulty drive that burnt nothing but it's own controller.
I don't doubt that some people might not get on with it, but saying "Nero sucks" to every post doesn't help matters and it simply is NOT true.

Hey "Different Strokes", oh ya we imported that show to Britain too. Arnold is still little and his brother in jail, and sister dead. Sorry, couldn't resist your one line end. As for your problem, something changed during the two weeks, think, what did I do to my system?

"Different Strokes" is having a bit of a comeback in the UK at the moment, mainly due to the advert doing the rounds at the cinema and on satellite TV for Lipton's Ice Tea, which uses the song as the backing track.
Very odd... and extremely off topic !
I'll shut up now.

I found the problem. for archiving, here it is:
Instant Copy 8 corupt the ASPI of my computer (don't know why) so Nero just make coaster.. I have tryed Copy2DVD that use an other kind of ASPI (patin-couffin) and work with no problem. After Uninstalling IC8 and Nero, I reinstalled Nero and it work.. if I install IC8 back, Nero make coaster.. that's really strange.
thanks for help guys -
I can confirm this is indeed a bug regarding IC8 as I get 'exactly' the same error regarding Nero after installing IC8
I've just checked my ASPI and get this
I will try reinstalling my ASPI 1st to see if I can fix it and I will also try unistalling and reinstalling both
@BODYBUILDER, sadly mate, you are completely wrong regarding Nero in your posts and you just sound like another sad 'NERO SUCKS' gang member

I don't have a aspi layer installed under XP and Nero 6, IC 8 and Record Max Now burn fine.
AFAIK all burning progs from the last 2 years don't need a aspi layer under XP. Am I wrong ? -

that is of course assuming people have a legitimate copy of IC8
although I would like to tell you exactly how I sorted it, I would rather not at this moment in time -
Still no joy, I have done a full system recovery and still get the same error.
Could it be something to do with having just installed a second hard-drive a seagate baracuda 120 gig 7200 rpm ? I have all me moves stored on it at the moment.
