Preferred Editing Software

I have Video shows I would like to edit out the commercials. I am running the Video into my WinTV Card and using Movie Factory for menus which I prefer but you can't edit (I guess you can't) out commercials in MF without making chapters so I was using DVD Author for editing but when I bring it into MF it just doesn't splice up right. I am using TMPEG-Plus for editing but I do like the frame set-up editing in DVD Author. I like to get some feedback from you guys & gals what you prefer for editing Video...Thanks YB

You can do it with Movie factory, it just isn't very obvios. What you do is drag multiple copies of the file into the project area. Then just mark the first segment on the first copy, and the second on the second copy, etc. When you go to finish, hold down the ctrl key and select each segment. Then make sure you use MAKE MOVIE not BATCH ENCODE. Batch encode will make seperate mpeg files. Make MOvie should make one continuous mpeg. Then going through the wizard, just skip the chapter making portion, and make the disk. Try it on a VCD first so that you don't waste a DVD disk.
